Story
Climb for a cure Africa challenge - Thursday, 10th February - Monday 21st February 2011
What's it all about?
Gavin Morgan and Richard Millington are taking up a charity challenge and will be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in February 2011! Our charity challenge is a physically demanding fundraising event to raise funds for Cure Cancer Australia - WE NEED YOUR HELP!
By fundraising and participating in this adventure, Gav and Rich aim to raise funds to support Cure Cancer Australia in providing national funding to young post-doctoral researches with fresh approaches across all areas of cancer research, including lung, pancreatic, gastrointestinal, colorectal and breast cancers, melanoma, tumour growth and suppression, cancer genetics, antibody based cancer therapy and more effective prevention for skin cancers.
Most people have experienced the loss of a loved one through cancer and this vital research requires funding to assist scientists to not only prevent cancer but possibly find a cure. Rich lost his father to bowel cancer 9 years ago and Gav lost both his grandparents to cancer so its a cause that is close to both of us.
We really need your help and donations to enable us to reach our fundraising target and provide much needed funds for such a good cause.
